Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising a small crew of production control personnel.
- Assist production management in the flow and process of production across several facilities.Identify and define internal and external customer requirements.
- Assist in the monitoring and documentation of material, transportation, subcontract, and labor requirements.
- Provide regular updates and reports to production and program management.
- Directly manage day‐to‐day project and operational aspects. Ensure required production material is staged, identified,
and available for use when and where needed. Perform receipt inspections on production materials at arrival.
- Identify, minimize, and remain cognizant of risks to safety, quality, schedule, and budget (in that order).
- Monitor material, subcontract, and labor costs against budget.
- Organize, create agendas for, and lead production control team meetings.
- Attend and provide updates to regular production status meetings.
- Assist in capturing “Lessons Learned” and documenting current and future processes.
Other tasks and/or duties as directed.

- Demonstrate professional, morally, and ethically sound behavior consistent with company policies and in keeping with a
position requiring access to and the development of sensitive technical data.
- Develop rapport and professional working relationship with both internal and external customers as well as with
vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other internal and external team members
Qualifications:
- Experience with naval ship new construction, repair, and modernization.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and military and commercial specifications.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- The ability to learn and understand company accounting software and related enterprise systems.
- Strong math as well as verbal and written communication skills required.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of related experience.
- AA/AS plus 4 years of related experience.
- BA/BS plus 2 years of related experience.
- Experience with Newport News Shipbuilding, Electric Boat, and/or other new construction shipbuilding facilities is
preferred.
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass and hold various background checks and security clearances
Physical Demands:
While performing these job duties, employees are routinely required to stand, walk, lift (<50 lbs.), climb, crawl, sit, and
to work at height. To use their hands and fingers to reach, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls and to type or
write. Employees are also required to be able to see, talk, hear, and smell. Specific vision abilities required include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This position is performed in both traditional shop and office environments, with frequent local travel between facilities
and project locations. Occasional travel outside of the local area may be required in the development of technical
requirements, vendors, suppliers, and other team members
