Basic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to, the following):

• Operate 3K-5K PSI pressure washers.
• Cleaning and general labor tasks.
• Prepare all types of surfaces for preservation.
• Follow and act on instructions/tasks given.
• Complete tasks given in a timely manner.
• Work with others, as a team, to accomplish tasks.
• Control costs in their assigned area of responsibility.
• Work in various environments, including, but not limited to, confined spaces, elevated staging, & manlifts.
• Training on the various SSPC surface preparation standards.
• Training of and compliance with OSHA Shipyard industry standards.
• Training on the set-up, operation, & troubleshooting of the various preservation tools and equipment.
• Training on proper PPE selection, the safe handling, use, disposal, and storage of coatings, & confined space entry.
• Training on and comprehension of manufacturer’s product data sheets and SDS.

Requirements:
• Reliable transportation and attendance.
• Local travel as needed.

• Scraper
• Flashlight
• Utility knife
• Inspection mirror

Physical Demands:
While performing these job duties, employees are routinely required to stand, walk, lift (<50 lbs), climb, crawl, sit, and to
work at height. To use their hands and fingers to reach, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls and to type or write.
Employees are also required to be able to see, talk, hear, and smell. Specific vision abilities required include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:99 Jefferson Avenue, Portsmouth

This position is performed in a traditional shipyard environment with frequent local travel between facilities and project
locations as required.
