Portsmouth, VA, 13 August 2015 Fairlead Integrated was awarded the design and development contract for the Inclement Weather (IW) Kit Prototype. The System of Systems Consortium (SOSSEC), an Other Transaction Authority (OTA), on behalf of the U.S Air Force and the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), issued the contract.

The IW Kit will provide additional support during inclement weather conditions to repair airfields in warzone environments as quickly as possible, and without sacrificing quality.

The IW Prototype award was based on Fairlead Integrated’s design and past performance building the Airfield Sustainment Repair (SuPR) kits for the U.S. Marine Corps. The IW Prototype Kit is a firm fixed price contract with a five-month period of performance.
