Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead other technicians and plans work as required/directed.
  • Work hands-on with hardware to assemble, integrate, and test components and complex subsystems.
  • Analyze and resolve issues that arise during the integration process, which may include creating and implementing solutions for non-conformances.
  • Participate in the documentation of integration processes and best practices to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, engineering instructions, and modification instructions to understand and execute technical requirements.
  • Work with other technicians, engineers, and departments to coordinate projects, solve problems, and improve system efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Adept at identifying and resolving complex issues under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extensive familiarity with a variety of the electrical field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of component functionality.
  • Adept in troubleshooting electrical control panel problems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 12 years of experience in the field or related field.
  • Must be knowledgeable of 1st 2nd and 3rd Class skills and possess a high degree of creativity and latitude.

Physical Demands:

While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a shipboard and industrial environment.
