Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries and pricing requests from both internal and external customers.
- Participate in job site inspections and ship checks to verify technical information.
- Identify all cost elements necessary for the execution of work requirements including (but not limited to) labor by GLC, subcontract requirements, rentals, and material requirements.
- Prepare requirements traceability matrix and work breakdown structure in support of estimate development.
- Perform material take off(s) and prepare requisitions for materials, subcontracts, and rentals in support of proposal development.
- Prepare estimates, pricing worksheets, preliminary schedules, build plans, and weld matrices utilizing established Microsoft Office templates.
- Establish routing and execution approach(s) for work requirements in conjunction with engineering, planning, purchasing, production, and quality management.
- Resolution of technical and schedule issues or conflicts with customers, vendors, and subcontractors as well as with contracts, engineering, planning, purchasing, production, and quality management.

- Must demonstrate professional, morally, and ethically sound behavior not only consistent with company policies but also in keeping with a position requiring access to and the development of sensitive technical and financial data.
- Develop rapport and professional working relationship with both internal and external customers as well as vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other internal and external team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience with naval ship construction, repair, and modernization.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and military and commercial specifications.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with ProPricer estimating software preferred but not required.
- The ability to learn and understand company accounting software and related enterprise systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business math skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS plus 5 years of directly related experience.
- AA/AS plus 10 years of directly related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 15 years of directly related experience.
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass and hold various background checks and security clearances.

To use their hands and fingers to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to type or write. Employees are also required to be able to see, talk, hear, and smell. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- This position is performed in a traditional office environment, with local travel between facilities and project locations. Occasional travel outside of the local area may be required in the development of technical requirements, vendors, suppliers, and other team members.
