Boat Shop Technician’s Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand measurements
- Demonstrate knowledge of hardware
- Utilize a wide array of tools and equipment associated with marine service
- Work well alone or with others
- Posses a strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude
- Ability to learn and retain information
- Open to on the job and formal training
- Meet project deadlines and have good time management
- Travel to other Fairlead locations as necessary to complete a job
- Flexible to work inside and outside with regard to statement of work
- Ability to sit, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time and capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Obtain government issued base identification
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screen
Primary work location is 3132 Victory Blvd, Portsmouth, VA.
