Fairlead Appoints Adam R. Zydron as Vice President of Structures

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Sept. 17, 2025 – Fairlead, a leader in systems engineering, modular shipbuilding, advanced manufacturing and integrated defense infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Adam R. Zydron as vice president and general manager of Structures.

In this role, Zydron will oversee operations, strategy and growth initiatives across Fairlead’s Structures Division. He succeeds Jeremy Jeffreys, who was promoted to chief operating officer.

“Adam brings a proven track record of leadership and accomplishments in complex shipbuilding, manufacturing, program management and large-scale capital investment projects,” said CEO Fred Pasquine. “His breadth of experience across shipbuilding, facilities engineering and entrepreneurial ventures will strengthen Fairlead’s ability to deliver readiness to our customers.”

Zydron joins Fairlead following more than two decades of leadership in heavy industry and defense manufacturing. Most recently, he served as manufacturing program manager at Huntington Ingalls Industries – Newport News Shipbuilding, where he developed capital investment strategies for multiple Centers of Excellence supporting carrier and submarine construction. He previously held a program manager role with aircraft carriers CVN 80 and CVN 81, responsible for manufacturing divisions of shipbuilding programs, and as director of facilities engineering, executing capital plans spanning all major facilities projects and waterfront infrastructure supporting Navy programs.

In addition to his shipbuilding career, Zydron has founded and led multiple entrepreneurial ventures in marine construction, real estate and manufacturing, further deepening his operational and business expertise.

He earned a Master of Science in engineering management from Florida Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Virginia Military Institute and a professional certificate in systems engineering from Old Dominion University.
