Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in installation and outfitting of containers and assembling enclosures under supervision.
- Learn to interpret symbols and requirements on Customer/Fairlead drawings and execute with assistance of senior staff
- Layout and mount electrical components under direct supervision.
- Familiarity with Basic Mechanical Tools; Torque Wrenches, Mag Drills, Impact Drills, OH Cranes, Forklifts
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic mechanical component functionality
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with other team members and company employees
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Tech classes or 1 year of training in related field
Physical Demands:
- While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- This position is performed in a shipboard and industrial environment.
