Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Company and Customer safety rules and procedures
- Demonstrate proper use of tools, i.e., crimpers, strippers, torque wrenches, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to work to the requirements of the statement of work
- Ability to demonstrate proficient use of Electrical Test Eqpt: including Ohmmeter, Clamp On, Megger, Hipot, Micro Ohmmeter, Voltage Tester, Secondary Injection Test Set, Wire and Cable Tracers
- Ability to Construct entire electrical panels from layout to testing using electrical schematics, measuring, cutting and installing din rail, wire duct and wire; layout and mounting of electrical components; properly terminating wires as per instructions
- Proficient knowledge of packing cable transits, collars, stuffing tubes, cable entry seals, cable run installation, layout, equipment installation and relocation
- Ability to mentor 3rd class and helpers
- Demonstrate technical computer skills. Efficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF documents.
Qualifications:
- Soldering Certification
- Connector Training Certification
- Extensive familiarity with a variety of the electrical field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of component functionality
- Adept at troubleshooting electrical control panel problems
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with other team members and company employees
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in the field or related field
Physical Demands:
- While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- This position is performed in a shipboard and industrial environment
