Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Estimate time, material and support requirements to meet production demands
  • Evaluate subordinate personnel
  • Responsible for daily time charges
  • Coordinate travel related matters thru the proposal coordinator,e. per diem, car rental, hotel arrangements, air travel as well as the ability to compile the necessary expense reports.
  • Interpret job specifications, technical manuals, blueprints, drawings, and standard items
  • Ensure work is completed as required within necessary time constraints
  • Interface with Engineering Department and the project manager of the job.
  • Submit weekly supervisor reports to the Installation Manager or his designated representative when in the field.
  • Follow the Red Line procedure outlined in IPCF-041 when drawing red lines are necessary in the field.
  • Review BOM for out of town jobs and include miscellaneous materials required to complete job, (i.e. Ty-raps, terminal lugs, mounting hardware, hook-up wire, wire ferrules, special tools/safety equipment, etc).
  • Receive and manage the work package for the job IAW ISO 9000 requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain logistical requirements, and possess leadership qualities commensurate with thoroughly completing assigned tasks
  • Ability to convey company policies and procedures to production personnel consistent with the corporate handbook
  • Ability to act as the intermediary between FIP&C and its customer base

Minimum Requirements:

  • Electrical courses from navy schools, or related similar education
  • Experience in ship repair, conversion, and retrofit

Physical Demands:

  • While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a traditional shop/office environment, with local travel between facilities and project
locations required. Occasional travel outside of the local area may be required in the development of technical
requirements, vendors, suppliers, and other team members
