Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives
• Work with Managers to plan production tasks to improve runtime
• Be aware of and monitor net availability of material needed for manufacture orders
• Monitor open material and subcontractor purchase orders that are delaying production and request updates from procurement if necessary
• Submit material request to Material Control so material is issued to work cells prior to the start of their operation
• Report downed equipment and track progress of repair and maintenance
• Review work packages and accordingly work with Production Director to maintain priorities
• Work with Production Director to organize work package documents and ensure there are timely manufacture order approvals
• Change status of manufacture orders to ‘in shop’ when released to the floor
• Relieve manufacture orders to the next higher-level MO or to inventory after QA acceptance
• Troubleshoot backflush errors that may occur during the relief process
• Monitor execution of manufacture orders and update operation completion dates in Costpoint
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on company objectives, production strategies and support activities
• Plan and monitor material movement between production work cells to ensure continuous operation and continuous flow
• Troubleshoot work stoppage and bottlenecks to reduce delays
• Execute material movement between production work cells to ensure continuous operation and continuous flow
• Ensure material needing subcontract services are prepared and arrangements made for shipment /delivery as soon as they are ready
• Coordinate with Production Managers and Director in resolving production planning and control issues
• Assist in assigning quality assurance priorities
• Work with cross-functional teams to complete manufacture orders on-time and within customer specifications
• Communicate production updates to Directors on regular basis

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• May have to physically move material within the plant.
• May provide training on Costpoint views and reports.
• This position requires the ability to plan, prioritize, and solve problems reliably and quickly

Qualifications:
• High School degree or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing. Experience as a Navy Storekeeper (SK) or Repair Parts Petty Officer (RPPO) may suffice.
• Reliable Transportation to and from work
• Microsoft Office Suite 365 Experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Skilled or able to learn CostPoint ERP and Open Plan scheduling software.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, position requires sitting and standing for long periods

Minimum Requirements:
• Valid forklift certification or ability to operate standing and sitting forklifts
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of manufacturing materials, equipment, and tools
• Able to learn and effectively use company cost accounting software

Work Environment:
• This position is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, with local travel between facilities
• While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
