Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries and pricing requests from both customers and company personnel
- Prepare and submit subcontracts and rental requisitions in support of pricing proposals
- Identify all cost elements necessary for execution of work requirements including production trade man-hours, subcontracts, rentals, and materials
- Prepare work breakdown structures to support proposal submittals and negotiations
- Prepare requisitions for subcontracts and rentals to support proposal pricing
- Interface with Subcontracts Group to resolve technical and schedule issues with subcontractors
- Establish execution approach for work requirements with project and production management
- Provide resolution of technical and schedule issues with contracts, project, and production management
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business math skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Ability to learn and understand company accounting software and all related enterprise systems, including CostPoint and ProPricer
- High School Degree or equivalent
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Business Administration or a related academic field of study, or AA/AS plus 2 years directly related experience, or 6 years directly related experience
- Minimum 5 years technical experience in an environment related to Manufacturing, Naval ship repair and modernization, and/or ship operations or related field
Primary work location is 650 and 750 Chautauqua Ave, Portsmouth, VA.
