Structural Production Planner – REQ 13332

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Works with process owners, engineering, sales/estimating, and customers (as required) to develop effective manufacturing, materials, special processes, procedures, detailed work instructions, equipment and tooling plans to ensure the Company safely provides defect free product on time and on budget
  • Must be an SME with several manufacturing processes including welding, fabrication, painting, testing, and supporting finishing processes, such that advanced techniques will be developed to enhance manufacturing technical abilities
  • Will participate in, and occasionally lead reviews, audits and validation studies of planed process steps and special process procedures through surveillance and audits to ensure compliance to customer requirements
  • May be required to participate in customer and third party audits
  • May be assigned special certification to participate in product and process verification
  • Required to develop materials plans required for customer orders
  • Develop Work Breakdown and Sequence Packages for Production

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned to support production needs
  • Must have dependable transportation
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including overtime as required

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in reading and understanding blueprints and specifications, including special controlled processes as defined by internal standards, government standards, and regulator and statutory standards
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and simple auto cad software
  • Must be a team oriented, dependable individual, knowledgeable of identified manufacturing processes for work performed in a job shop environment
  • Experience in Structural Ship Building and/or Repair is a plus
  • Experience working with Deltek Software and CostPoint a plus

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of hands on experience in several identified manufacturing processes defined in essential functions
