Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers in analyzing individual project performance using appropriate project management tools; this includes performance of both direct labor and subcontractors; and readiness of material to support production
  •  Develop and maintain divisional manning forecast
  •  Execute the weekly cost report meeting
  • Prepare monthly EAC workbooks
  • Prepare EAC Tracker for monthly EAC Review
  • Maintain the Programs toolbox, monitoring the data for accuracy and consistency
  • Develop and manage automated tools to track and forecast cost trends
  • Provide analytical, financial & technical reporting to division leadership
  • Develop cost studies using historical data to create forecasting models
  • Assist in the development of annual budget and long-term financial plans
  • Maintain project workforces for project managers
  • Record project Lessons Learned
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Divisional Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives such as Just-Do-It’s (JDI), Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) or CPI Projects.
  • Support Divisional Internal and External Audits


  • Must be a data driven individual with strong attention to detail skills
  • Must be analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have an aptitude for problem solving in a collaborative environment
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and have an aptitude to learn (or experience) working with ERP systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or 8 years’ experience
  • Master’s degree in mathematics, accounting, data analytics, or similar field, is preferred

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a traditional office environment, with local travel between facilities. Primary work location is 650 Chautauqua Avenue, Portsmouth, VA.
