Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains a schedule for all production activities
- Ensures production’s daily and weekly progress is captured in the production schedule
- Accurately produces and communicates planned work for the production department one to two weeks ahead
- Accurately updates project managers and directors with the status of project and details of work remaining
- Understands key events and milestones
- Coordinates with Production Managers, Production Control, and Operation Planners to understand changes that impact delivery schedules, and updates schedules accordingly
- Coordinates with proper personnel regarding schedule changes and impacts to product milestones/delivery
- Utilizes project software to evaluate and produce manning requirements
- May be required to lead reviews and drive meetings
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 360 suite
- Experience with Excel macros
- Preferred experience using software such as Primavera or MS Project; experience with Open Plan a plus
- Experience with Deltek CostPoint preferred
- Experience in structural ship building or repair a plus
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team oriented, dependable individual who has knowledge of manufacturing scheduling for work performed in a job shop environment
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in a related discipline or 5 years’ experience in related role
